Curiophillia I think you're on to something here, but it needs some polish. Walk speed is slow, and the camera is not always your friend. Then, after I fell off the north end of the island, I spent 15 minutes trying to get back on it, ran into Kazi, talked to them twice and got stuck there, game wouldn't respond to anything anymore. Sad to say the game doesn't invite me to try again.
But that's in its current form. With some tweaking of the camera and the controls, some bugfixing and maybe a map, I think this could be a very enjoyable experience. And yeah, the music helps a bunch too. Keep at it!
