Awesome idea, but very wonky controls, which makes it annoying to get the last couple of bolts on some randomly generated models (when you can't jump high enough to reach them yourself and the launch pads catapult you way beyond your target). But despite that it's tempting to keep going for it. Good show!

Not sure I understand what's going on. There's a character that teleports to where I click and otherwise moves with the WASD keys on a screen with randomly generated features that allow for very limited interaction... and that's it? There's basics of about everything here, visuals, controls, sounds, music, but that's all. Set goals, write a story, gives players something to accomplish. You have a workable engine demo here, expand on it to make your game come to life!

i just started the project!!!!

Unplayable. Game over <1s after the game starts and no way to get the character respond to the controls.

ZabuJard responds:

Did you click the link? You gotta use the link and arrow keys to move. Right when the game starts you have to move or the water will kill you

Pretty need idea overall, but the controls are slow/unresponsive, which gets annoying fast. I think increasing the pace just a little would do the game a lot of good.

Got stuck reaaaally fast (only found a key and a lantern), but I'm not particularly good at this kind of game. Visuals are good, nothing fancy but very clear, controls are intuitive, sound effects are good and the music is simple but very effective/immersive. Keep it up!

Zeewild responds:

Thanks for the kind words!

Got stuck on the first real case. Felt like all 3 had a motive, but after two wrong guesses (and having to do the entire day again) I gave up. The graphics are good, the sound is good, the idea behind the game is good, but the logic - which has to be rock solid for a game like this to work - appears arbitrary. If you have 3 suspects and evidence against all of them, it boils down to paper-scissors-rock, which diminishes the game.

TheOlga responds:

I can agree with you in part. Guessing what really happened is not easy. Having to start all over again can also be problematic. But I still think that by collecting all the evidence and clues you can guess what really happened. The most important thing is to pay attention to details, e.g. an ID card that can be found in a purse may suggest a certain line of reasoning. Hope you will give our game a try again. Greetings!

And we're back in spacebarland. So far 4/4 Clickteam games have this issue.

Guess what the down arrow button does to the webpage...

In this case though, I actually managed to make it to room 3 before suddenly being eaten, so there's progress! I would advise you to do some serious troubleshooting on the controls/webpage behavior though. So far it's only with your games that I run into this, which I believe are the only Clickteam based games I played so far. I'm starting to see a connection here...

Alternatively: screw troubleshooting and only assign keys in your games that aren't related to browser functions.

Never half-ass two things.
Whole-ass one thing.
