Looks and sounds nice, but the hit detection is pretty wonky and restarting is annoying (tip: include a 'Press R to restart' on the game over screen!). Polish it a bit further and you'll be looking at a pretty decent game.
It looks and sounds gorgeous, but what is it? How does it game?
This looks pretty interesting. The combat system is a little wonky and of course it's still somewhat repetitive, but there's potential here. Curious as to what your ideas for the finished game are and what it will look like.
I originally planned to have some kind of terrain which only some slimes can pass through (e.g. river, poison bog, etc.), but I couldn't figure out the programming side of things for it at the moment.
Giving each evolution their own attack styles and skills sounds great too, but its probably going to be really time consuming both in art and code.
I might consider changing the controls to be grid based, similar to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series to reduce development time.
I will be giving this project another look after GMTK game jam and decide on its future. Fingers crossed.
Not a really inspired game, but I have to admit it looks and sounds good.
This is awesome on so many levels. Excellent job!
Good concept - heavy on the Stardew Valley of course, and plenty of opportunities to make it more interesting (while keeping it simple) - but a very good starting point nonetheless!
There's no (obvious) way to close the shop once it's open, and the options appear very limited - it doesn't have long-term appeal, which is kind of essential in an idle game.
Oh yeah, it isn't a platformer, although it pretends to be.
And the music stops after about half a minute.
Please try again.
Press space to EXIT THE SHOP
And jeez, I didn't even know what genre to put
Also, I really DON'T know how to make a newgrounds game, because flash is gone for good.
And about the music, I will try to fix that problem as much as I can
Well done, nice and short puzzler which looks beautiful. Shame about the missing music and SFX though. If you ever need help on that, feel free to reach out and I'll see what I can do.
Wow. Fun game and the level of attention to detail in everything is stunning. Awesome job.
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it!
