This is beautiful. There's a very soothing and wholesome quality to it, while being melancholy and funny at the same time. I think voice acting would have been a good addition, but it would maybe also change the vibe, and the NES style text works very well with the rest of the animation. Awesome work!

Looking pretty good! The lips aren't really synced up with the speech, but I can imagine that's hard to do. I'd suggest concentrating on model movement - whenever someone is standing still, there's is no movement from them at all, which makes them look weird. Adding these would greatly increase the immersion, I think.
