Ah, my eyes! But the match with the music is incredible :)

This is possibly a pretty decent criticism, but the recording quality of the voice-over makes it very hard to want to listen to. I'd suggest taking a couple of steps to improve that first, I think it's currently the Achilles heel of your work. Feel free to drop me a message if you want advice.

AndriuxDev responds:

Always open to hear any advice. What are the details I should improve?

It's not the kind of series I'd watch, but the quality is ace.

CelestaleSeeds responds:

Thanks for the kind words

Nice work! What setup do you use for recording the voices? Seems like you're catching a lot of reflections from the recording room in your mic, making the voices sound further away than the animation suggests the characters are.

JourdanBarnett responds:

Thank you. In terms of the sound, my setup needs to change. It's set up on far on my desk close to the wall and it doesn't have any material to absorb the sound. I need to get that fixed.

I find the animation OK-ish, but the casual dialog puts it in great context

Very '90s adventure game. Some simple SFX like howling winds could add an extra dimension to this with minimum effort.

monkeypalmstrike responds:

I uploaded the wrong version and went to sleep XD. But here's the proper version with sfx. :)

Nice visuals and interestingly absurd concept - would greatly benefit from a little (and equally odd) soundscape or music and would love to see this extended

HarisTheGodBear responds:

that's not a bad idea, I'll see about reuploading another one

Interesting art style with absolutely great framing. Sound effects are good, music fits the scenes fantastically. The animations take some getting used to, and the heat shimmer effect (the constant warping of the lines in virtually every scene) gets annoying. The story is OK with a good and unexpected cliffhanger at the end, although the pacing seems a bit off - cat's position towards beaver changes kinda quickly and feels a bit forced. Presenting it as an animated comic has its merits, but would require a lot more attention to the dialog - there are words missing or the wrong words used and the sentences generally don't have a very realistic feel to them.

In short: a lot of potential here, but also quite some points to think about. Maybe team up with a writer for the dialog - I take it you're not an English native speaker - and the pacing? I believe that would be a very good way to make a big jump in quality. Good luck!

You can bet on Egon to suck out the fun... Fun concept, voice recording needs a little work though - unless this roomy sound is what you're aiming for of course.

Hehe, there's quite some potential here I think - it could use a little more polish but I like the absurdity of it. If you ever want to experiment with additional voice acting, hit me up if you like.

Never half-ass two things.
Whole-ass one thing.
