What?
This looks pretty interesting. The combat system is a little wonky and of course it's still somewhat repetitive, but there's potential here. Curious as to what your ideas for the finished game are and what it will look like.
I originally planned to have some kind of terrain which only some slimes can pass through (e.g. river, poison bog, etc.), but I couldn't figure out the programming side of things for it at the moment.
Giving each evolution their own attack styles and skills sounds great too, but its probably going to be really time consuming both in art and code.
I might consider changing the controls to be grid based, similar to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series to reduce development time.
I will be giving this project another look after GMTK game jam and decide on its future. Fingers crossed.
There's no (obvious) way to close the shop once it's open, and the options appear very limited - it doesn't have long-term appeal, which is kind of essential in an idle game.
Oh yeah, it isn't a platformer, although it pretends to be.
And the music stops after about half a minute.
Please try again.

And jeez, I didn't even know what genre to put
Also, I really DON'T know how to make a newgrounds game, because flash is gone for good.
And about the music, I will try to fix that problem as much as I can
Wow. Fun game and the level of attention to detail in everything is stunning. Awesome job.
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it!
Not sure I understand what's going on. There's a character that teleports to where I click and otherwise moves with the WASD keys on a screen with randomly generated features that allow for very limited interaction... and that's it? There's basics of about everything here, visuals, controls, sounds, music, but that's all. Set goals, write a story, gives players something to accomplish. You have a workable engine demo here, expand on it to make your game come to life!
i just started the project!!!!
Unplayable. Game over <1s after the game starts and no way to get the character respond to the controls.
Did you click the link? You gotta use the link and arrow keys to move. Right when the game starts you have to move or the water will kill you
Got stuck reaaaally fast (only found a key and a lantern), but I'm not particularly good at this kind of game. Visuals are good, nothing fancy but very clear, controls are intuitive, sound effects are good and the music is simple but very effective/immersive. Keep it up!
Thanks for the kind words!
Got stuck on the first real case. Felt like all 3 had a motive, but after two wrong guesses (and having to do the entire day again) I gave up. The graphics are good, the sound is good, the idea behind the game is good, but the logic - which has to be rock solid for a game like this to work - appears arbitrary. If you have 3 suspects and evidence against all of them, it boils down to paper-scissors-rock, which diminishes the game.
I can agree with you in part. Guessing what really happened is not easy. Having to start all over again can also be problematic. But I still think that by collecting all the evidence and clues you can guess what really happened. The most important thing is to pay attention to details, e.g. an ID card that can be found in a purse may suggest a certain line of reasoning. Hope you will give our game a try again. Greetings!
